Terms, Privacy & Data Policies

Version: September 25, 2026 · Applies to Canada Biz Directory

At a glance: Business listings and approved images are public. Account details, newsletter addresses and support messages are used to operate the service. Visitors can preview three business profiles or scroll halfway down the directory page before a free account with a verified email is required to continue. Newsletter and daily WhatsApp promotion signups are optional and separate from account access. Silver and Gold use manual payment and administrator approval. The fixed 12-month Advertising Lease uses secure Stripe Checkout and does not renew automatically.

Terms & Conditions

1. Our service and your agreement

Canada Biz Directory is funded and operated by the MOCEE GROUP OF COMPANIES INC.. MOSEH GUNATHAS & ENOCH MOSEH are the founders and owners. These Terms govern accounts, business listings, advertising and newsletter use. By affirmatively accepting them, you agree to follow these Terms. If acting for a business, you must have authority to represent it. You must be of legal age to enter into an agreement in your province or territory.

2. Accounts and accurate information

Provide accurate registration information, verify your email and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or business, create misleading listings, or submit information you are not entitled to share.

3. Listings, images and acceptable use

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a non-exclusive permission to host, display, resize and format content you submit for the purpose of operating and promoting your listing within this directory. You must hold the necessary rights and permissions for logos, photographs, text and personal information. Do not upload unlawful, discriminatory, fraudulent, infringing or malicious content, confidential documents, payment-card details or sensitive identity information.

We may review, correct, reject, hide or remove listings that are inaccurate, unsuitable or violate these Terms. Administrators can edit business profiles and account information to administer the service. Listing approval does not certify a business’s qualifications, licensing, insurance, safety or service quality. Content removal requests can be made through the contact below.

4. Memberships and advertisements

Current membership prices, image allowances and promotional offers are displayed on the Pricing page. Basic may be free or paid. Existing free Basic memberships retain their access when new Basic pricing changes. Paid memberships are prepaid for 30 days and start after an administrator confirms manual payment. The Advertising Lease price is shown on the Pricing page as a monthly equivalent and a total paid once for a fixed 12-month term through Stripe Checkout. Existing leases and started checkouts retain their quoted price. It does not renew automatically. You may stop renewing any plan at any time; any current prepaid period continues until its end. Pending plan requests can be addressed by contacting us. Refund requests are assessed individually, subject to any rights required by law; nothing here removes statutory remedies.

Future prices and plan features may change prospectively. A pending payment request retains its recorded quote, and price changes do not retroactively increase a confirmed prepaid amount. Featured placement may rotate and does not guarantee views, leads, sales or search-engine rankings. Sample listings and sample plan badges demonstrate the site and do not imply endorsement, affiliation or a paid membership by the named brand.

5. Independent businesses and external links

Businesses listed here operate independently. Check their credentials, availability, prices and terms before purchasing. Any transaction with a listed business is between you and that business. External websites and WhatsApp have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their services.

6. Availability, responsibility and disputes

We take reasonable care in operating the directory, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free content or particular commercial results. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by independent businesses, external services or your reliance on inaccurate third-party listings. These Terms do not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may restrict an account for misuse, security reasons or a material breach of these Terms, and provide an explanation where appropriate and lawful. Contact us first to resolve concerns. Applicable Canadian federal law and the laws that apply in your province or territory govern your statutory rights; these Terms do not require you to waive access to a competent court or regulator.

7. Changes

We will publish revisions with an updated version date. Material changes affecting the use of your personal information will be explained, and fresh consent obtained where required. Acceptance does not authorize undisclosed future uses of personal information.

Privacy Policy

Discover Local visit stamps

If you choose to collect a stamp, we store your account ID, participating offer, collection date and time, reward code and redemption status. We use these records to show your progress, prevent duplicate stamps and let the business validate a reward. This feature does not request your device location. A QR scan is not proof of physical presence.

1. Information we collect

2. Why we use it

We use this information to provide accounts and listings, verify email, recover account access, administer memberships, respond to requests, protect the service, and display directory activity. If you separately opt in, we use your newsletter address for directory news, business highlights and offers. If you separately subscribe to the daily WhatsApp spotlight, we use your mobile number to send one randomly selected Gold member advertisement each day through our WhatsApp messaging provider. Account registration or login does not give marketing consent.

3. What is public and who receives information

Approved listing information, including business contact details and images, is visible to visitors and may be indexed or copied by search engines and others. Your account email is not automatically published, but an email you enter into a business listing may be public. Avoid using a private home address or personal contact details unless you intend to publish them.

Authorized administrators can access account, membership, newsletter and support records to operate the service. Resend processes recipient addresses and email content for verification and password-recovery delivery. Stripe processes Advertising Lease checkout and payment information under its own privacy terms. Hosting, storage and other necessary service providers may process data on our behalf. Such providers may operate outside Canada; information processed abroad may be subject to local laws. We do not promise Canada-only storage. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect legal rights. We do not sell newsletter email lists.

4. Cookies and browser storage

A session cookie supports account access, support conversations and the visitor preview limit. We keep a count of profile previews and whether the preview has ended in the session. Browser session storage remembers dismissals of directory notices. Listing views may generate pseudonymous recent-activity records; public activity notices show the business viewed, not the visitor’s identity. Blocking cookies may prevent account features from working. External links or externally hosted resources can expose ordinary connection information to their providers.

5. Choices and rights

You can decline newsletter signup and still use an account. To withdraw newsletter consent, correct personal information, request access, or request account and data deletion, contact MOSEH GUNATHAS & ENOCH MOSEH using the details below. We may ask for proportionate verification before releasing or changing records. We aim to respond promptly and within applicable legal time limits. Withdrawing information needed for an account may mean we can no longer provide that account. You may raise unresolved privacy concerns with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator.

Data Policy

1. Collection and access

Submit only information necessary for your listing or request. Do not upload sensitive identity, health or financial documents. We use access controls to separate public listings from account, newsletter and support records. Passwords are hashed; verification and reset tokens are stored as hashes with expiry times. These safeguards reduce risk but no system can guarantee absolute security.

2. Storage and retention

Directory records are stored in the service database; uploaded images are stored separately on the service’s file storage. The current local preview stores these on the operator’s computer. A public deployment may use different hosting and will require its processing locations and providers to be reviewed before launch.

Account, listing, support and membership records remain until an administrator processes a deletion or retention review; the current version does not automatically purge all inactive accounts. Newsletter records retain subscription status to avoid accidental resubscription. Policy-acceptance records help demonstrate the permissions provided. Necessary records may be retained to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or meet legal obligations.

Verification links expire after 24 hours and password-reset links after 30 minutes. Expired token cleanup occurs during account-email processing. Recent directory activity is cleaned up as new view activity is recorded; aggregate view counts may remain. Backups may retain earlier versions until replaced or securely removed.

3. Corrections and deletion

Owners can submit listing updates for review; administrators can correct profiles and manage uploaded images. Removing an image from a listing does not necessarily immediately erase its stored file or backup copies. Contact us for an erasure request, including affected image links where available. We will assess applicable retention requirements and explain any justified limitations. Search-engine caches and copies held independently by others may remain outside our control.

4. Marketing consent and withdrawal

Newsletter and WhatsApp marketing each require a separate affirmative opt-in. We record the consent wording and signup details. Daily WhatsApp messages include an unsubscribe link, and withdrawing from WhatsApp does not affect an account or email newsletter preference. Contact us to withdraw consent; unsubscribe requests will be processed without charge and within 10 business days. Commercial messages must identify the sender, include valid contact information and provide a functioning unsubscribe mechanism. The current site captures newsletter signups but does not automatically send email campaigns.

5. Security incidents and material changes

Report suspected unauthorized access using the contact below. We will investigate, take appropriate steps to contain an incident, and notify affected individuals or regulators where required by applicable law. New uses materially different from those described here require appropriate notice and consent where legally required.
